A humid long weekend morning had me pause during an early morning field walk. As I took that pause to sit still and pay closer attention around me, heard some ruffling of leaves. Glancing quickly, observed what looked like the mating curl of millipedes. However, this was more than that, appeared the two of them were grappling, each one trying to overturn the other in that curled mass. Almost like rat snakes in combat, the dry leaves providing additional background score to the action. A short video of this observation
